Gravel Earth Series

Series Overview

Gravel Earth Series is the one series in ORI's database that's genuinely global rather than North America-anchored — a points-based international gravel calendar now largely operated by The Traka organization, spanning Europe, Africa, and a handful of North American stops. For 2026, GES consolidated sharply, down to 11 confirmed events across six countries from 25 the season before — a sign the series is prioritizing a smaller number of well-run, well-resourced races over sheer calendar size.

For a North American reader, the framing that matters most: GES isn't a domestic points series the way Life Time Grand Prix is. It's closer in spirit to a genuine world tour, and its North American legs (Lost & Found Gravel, CORE4, and — pending confirmation — Gravel Worlds) are just a few stops among many, not the center of gravity.

Scoring & Standings

GES uses a base-points system: roughly 50 points for the win down to 1 point for 25th place at a standard event. Certain marquee stops carry bonus multipliers on top of that base — The Hills and Gravel Desert offer a +10% bonus, while the Traka races carry the series' largest bonus at +20%, reflecting their status as the hardest and most competitive single days on the calendar. The overall champion is determined by cumulative points across the season.

Champions History

2025 Gravel Earth Series overall champions: Rosa Klöser (Germany, Canyon Factory Racing) and Magnus Bak Klaris, crowned after a season spanning 22 races across 13 countries and four continents, decided at that year’s Ranxo Gravel finale.
