About

Megre Gravel is the Gravel Earth Series' first stop in the Baltics, run through the lakes region around Zarasai and Anykščiai in northeastern Lithuania — rolling gravel roads, forest tracks, and the kind of open countryside that gives the race its name (Lithuanian for the wider lake district it crosses). It's grown quickly into the country's most competitive gravel race, and in 2025 doubled as the Lithuanian National Championship, giving the field an extra layer of stakes beyond the usual GES points.

The women's field starts an hour ahead of the men's and every other distance, racing the full course with no drafting off a mixed field — the same structure GES uses at its other stops to keep the women's race genuinely its own contest rather than a subset of the men's.

Course Info
  • 150 km (marquee), 100 km, and 50 km — courses are rebuilt most years, so exact routing shifts even when the distances stay the same
Registration Info

Registration runs through the event's own site and regional gravel-calendar aggregators; confirm exact opening dates closer to the season, as Baltic race registration windows have shifted year to year.
