The Marathon National Championship is the endurance-format counterpart to the Olympic-style XCO title, run over a longer lap rather than the short repeated circuits of XCO racing. It's held earlier in Roanoke's Endurance MTB Nationals week, at Carvins Cove near Hollins University, and draws elite riders alongside a full slate of masters age-group categories all chasing the Stars & Stripes jersey.
